Jeanette graduated from the State University of New York (Albany) with a B.A. in Economics and attended Union College (Schenectady, New York) where she earned a Master’s in Business Administration.  She is a trained mediator and blogged for several years about conflict resolution through The Olive Branch.

In 1995, Jeanette moved to Nevada to accept the position of President/CEO for the Nevada Association of Hospitals and Health Systems. Three years later, she joined Wadhams & Akridge as Director of Government Relations.

Jeanette took the leap in 2000 and started her own government relations consulting business and has never looked back. She loves strategizing with clients and helping them achieve their legislative goals.

In her spare time, Jeanette enjoys the great outdoors, doing agility training with her rescue pup and mentoring.

Lea joined J.K. Belz & Associates in July 2015 after interning with the Associated General Contractors during the 2015 Legislative session. She graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in social work in 2013 and a Master’s in public policy and administration in 2014.

Lea received her certificate in mediation and conflict resolution in April 2018 and is always looking for new skills classes for work and fun.

Prior to her work in policy and politics, Lea worked as a caregiver for older adults, people with developmental disabilities, people with Alzheimer’s and dementia and in hospice care for those at the end of life. These early jobs heavily influenced her research in graduate school which focused on caregiver turnover rates, American health care policy, and the greying of Americas workforce.

When not working on client issues, diving down research rabbit holes, or creating data spreadsheets, Lea can be found skating, playing board games, or relaxing at home with her family, their dogs and the cat who help make life complete.
